I’m leaving Friday for a week or so in Egypt. The plan is to see Cairo, the pyramids, the Red Sea, much of the Nile, the Valley of the Kings, and perhaps the Suez Canal.
The relatively cheap airfare means that we’re making some inconveniently long stops at Dulles and Madrid. It looks like we’ll have 4-6 hours in Madrid. According to the Internets, the city is just a short train ride from the airport. So the question, fellow travelers, is: what is the best way to utilize 4 daylight hours in Madrid? Tapas?
